Management Planning for simple designs to elaborate estates Someone wiser than I once told me in my early Navy days, "he who fails to plan, plans to fail".  I consider this some of the best advice I ever received.  As  living things, trees are always changing.  And when we get a moment to slow down and really look at them we wonder where did the time go, how did they get that big?  Trusting us to plan your tree maintenance empowers you to just enjoy your surroundings without worry. Removal for when preservation fails I prefer replacement to removal because we are in the preservation, not firewood, business.  But, occasionally a tree has to be removed.  It may have died or been severely damaged.  It may be a weedy invasive species crowding out a precious native.  Whatever the reason, tree removal is one of the most hazardous operations for the tree professional, both to the workers and the surrounding property.  Specialized equipment and training are necessary to remove most trees safely and efficiently. Planting for renewal  Thomas Jefferson said "To old to plant trees for my own gratification I shall do it for posterity." If you ever travel the foothill areas of California, you have noticed the beautiful native oak forests.  On your next trip, notice that most of the trees you see are large.  Where are the young saplings, those future giants of the forest?  Land management practice needs to focus on trees for future generations in the woodlands as well as in our own backyards. Consulting to avoid trouble Hopefully, you don't need advice to fix a problem; because with trees, it is often too late to save the patient once  you notice it is in trouble.  Consultations are best to avoid trouble.  Cat Rescue Though cat rescue is technically not a tree service, our ability to climb lets us go out on a limb with Whiskers in most anything that Whiskers wants to take on.  Fortunately, this activity will never be a profit center.  But as a cat lover my whole life, I can not ignore your call.
